A Sub-domain account is a sub-folder (or sub-directory) on the DPweb Virtual Server such that the URL would be http://www.dpweb.com/yoursubdomain/. We sell and host such web sites in conjunction with virtual domain accounts. These subfolder can be configured so that a client that needs to have the ability to update or modify their own web files periodically can. These clients can have their own log-on user ID. This user ID would permit our Sub-domain account clients to log onto DPweb's FTP server for our domain (ftp.dpweb.com) and manage their web files independently. Whether DPweb is the web page developer or you are a sub-domain account is less expensive compared to a Virtual domain account. For some of our clients this is a more desirable alternative to Virtual domain accounts.
